Personal Boundaries

Setting personal boundaries are essential to creating healthy relationships. Unfortunately, few of us are taught how to do this when we are young. Think about the time your parents told you to give “auntie so and so” a hug. For a long time we were told that our personal boundaries play second fiddle to our social standards and expectations of courtesy. When we finally realize how important it is to set boundaries, we’re usually much older and have to learn the skill from scratch.

Battling COVID-19 Burnout With Tough Love

If there were ever a buzzword to escape 2020 and climb on over to 2021, it would burnout. Problem Solving Skills for Everyday Life

End of the Year for 2020 and Lessons Learned for 2021

The new year is quickly approaching, and even as things continue to be incredibly stressful and confusing, it feels somewhat safe to say that most of us are ready to let go of 2020 and face 2021 with optimism and readiness for change. Looking back past 2020 to 2019, it is safe for I think everyone to say that this year was completely unexpected. Lizzy’s Journey Home

Recently, I went back home to Indiana to visit some friends. While visiting I noticed on the website for the Wheaten Terrier Rescue Group that I am a member of was in need of a emergency transport from the exact city I was visiting for the weekend. I couldn’t believe the odds that I was exactly where they needed help and I was available that day.
